NEW U

NEW U is a dynamic dance group composed of 11 talented young women, ranging from 7th to

12th grade, who share a passion for Chinese culture and performance. Founded and led by Emily Bolstad and joined by Olivia Feng, Sienna Zheng, JiaJia Miao, Jessica Gauthier, Tiffany Jeong, Qiu Duan, Lyd Zheng, Olivia Lin, Niki Wang, and Beaky Huang, NEW U seamlessly blends traditional Chinese dance with contemporary styles, bringing a vibrant energy to every

performance. Based in the Fox Cities, the team is entirely student-led, performing and learning

their dances while showcasing their unique mix of youthful spirit and cultural heritage. NEW U

performs at local festivals and events across Wisconsin, including Appleton’s Light The Night

Market, the Dragon Boat Festival, Chinese New Year celebrations, TitleTown’s AAPI performances, and much more. Beyond dance, the group is dedicated to community service.
