Yun Xin Lin

Yun Xin (Xinxin) Lin is a senior at Lambert High School and Co-President of the Junior Staff Club at Morningstar Dance Academy, where she has dedicated over 150 hours to teaching younger dancers and leading fundraisers that raised over $6,500 for causes including the Kentucky Tornado Drive, Florida Hurricane Relief, Clark's Christmas Kids, and more. As a pre-professional ballet dancer, she has earned top placements at international competitions including Youth America Grand Prix, World Ballet Competition, and Universal Ballet Competition, and was one of five U.S. dancers selected for the Prix de Lausanne Summer Intensive. Beyond ballet, Xinxin channels her curiosity into STEM: she co-authored a published research manuscript on synthetic microbial communities through BioBuilder, which was selected to present for BioBuilder’s Final Assembly at MIT. She was also one of 60 scholars selected for the Carnegie Mellon Summer Academy for Math and Science. She is a dedicated ambassador for the North American Volunteers Foundation, where she was selected by board members to be part of the social media team to increase awareness of the foundation's impact and service opportunities. Xinxin has received the Gold and Silver Presidential Volunteer Service Awards, Silver Key for Scholastic Art and Writing, and is a multiple-year Shine-a-Light Award winner. Through her commitment to service, science, and the arts, she strives to inspire others while bridging disciplines and making a meaningful impact in her community.
